Favourite defensive skills
Mainly for the RA/TA/AB ppl.
I normally use [[return] and [[dash] in AB, and [[smoke powder defense] in RA, although I used to use [[return]
How about the rest of you?
Any particular reasons youve found one better than another?

[shield bash]! Defo!
Damn with all that meta full of Rangers and Assassins....its just aweasome.
I also like [natural stride] (especially for AB), [return] annoys people, [bonettis defense] "thanks for enrgy dude" :3, [dark escape] lol with [shield of absorption], [balanced stance] meta is full of KD good in TA, [disciplined stance] for TA because I hurd A/D wais were gud, [smoke powder defense] for HB but not over [shield bash] :3, [soldiers defense] for AB when in balanced with other gais having [make haste].
Pretty much all I can rememmber.

Shield Stance is bad as it snares you.
Balanced Stance, I don't know. I don't TA or RA so...

shield last longer, and both shield and disciplined are primarily used to get rid of daze or when you need time to freely cast under extreme pressure, meaning you're not moving anyhow. so the snare is next to unnoticeable.

The fact remains that it snares you. And mainly blocks are ment to relieve pressure off physicals.
And if it lasts longer, you're going to be snared longer. Think of anti-blocking things. Being able to freely move around with no downfall is good, and that's why Disciplined Stance is far superior, along with Sprint / Shield Bash.

the only thing that would rely on mobility IS melee and ranged physicals (rangers/paras), meaning that if you're dazed, and need to the relieve, or under heavy phys pressure, you can freely relax and cast, allowing you to catch your breath. the snare will be countered by the fact that you could say.. cast guardian without the fear of dshot, or cast dismiss while dazed.
also, the only thing really dealing damage while you're snare and blocking attacks, would be spells, which will hit you regardless anyhow (minus projectile spells.. which are still almost always nailing you), so i dont see how 5-6 seconds of 75% relief from all incoming strikers, giving you time to think could possibly be bad.
